Dear Friends /Community Champions
In 2019, the Ottawa Special Hockey Stars was introduced to our community. Our present roster is a compliment of eighteen amazing athletes with many wonderful volunteers.
This year we returned to the ice in October 2021, after a year of no hockey due to Covid. Safety is always our priority. It has been very exciting thus far.
Each year, we are met with new and additional expenses, such as an increase in ice time costs, to the replacement of out grown player jerseys and socks.
Our goal each year is to have our players look and feel like their NHL idols. Thanks to our continued trusting sponsors from year to year, we have and continue to do just that.
Without our community partners, our program just becomes another hockey team.
The magic does not happen without such community champions.
With many years of experience coaching over 150 Special needs kids, the one thing we have learned, is that the real teachers in a program like ours, are the kids. Their courage and effort each week by coming to the rink, is what is most impressive. They deserve all the credit for the success of our program. Playing the great game of hockey, is a dream come true for them and their families.
The OSHS is 100% Not for Profit, all volunteer based as defined, no salaries or honorariums to anyone. Always & Only about the kids.

This year we are excited about a return to our annual golf tournament, June 9th,2022, shotgun start, partnering again with our friends at Pineview.
Registration to play will be out shortly. Of course, like in the past, the success of the day is always dependent on the kindness of others, like you.
