We are organizing a food drive for the Stittsville Food Bank (SFB) for September 16th at Unity Square in Stittsvile (corner of Hazeldean and Iber road) 10am – 2pm.
The SFB is at less than 20% capacity of what is needed to meet the current demand and the need for their services are at record high.
The Event:
Huntington Property Management is organizing a Grand Opening Event for the new complex at Unity Square in Stittsville. The owners of the individual shops thought this would be the perfect opportunity to organize a food drive as the traffic will be higher than normal.
There will be games, entertainment, activities, shop discounts and samples available to visitors.
How you can help:
All we ask is that you somehow mention the event to your network, more importantly the food drive aspect of the event.
What SFB is in need of (school aged theme, but anything helps)
– Peanut butter
– Jam
– Canned tuna
– Canned salmon
– Cereal
– Cereal bars
– Juice boxes
– Fruit cups
– Apple sauce
– Cheese whiz
– Other school type snacks
There will be milk crates and SFB signage set up to accept non-perishable donations during the event
