Dramatic video shows plane at Markham’s Buttonville Airport crashing, narrowly missing truck

WATCH: The Transportation Safety Board is now investigating a plane crash at Markham's Buttonville Airport. Video appears to show the plane narrowly missing a vehicle during the crash.

Newly-released video shows how a small airplane that crashed just outside of Markham’s Buttonville Airport earlier this week came within feet of striking a truck.

The nine-second dashcam video was captured by Bill Chan inside his vehicle. The video appears to show Chan driving westbound along 16th Avenue when a small white plane suddenly passes in front of his truck, its wing hitting the pavement. A piece of debris can also be seen rolling across the road.
