If you weren’t able to find that certain tech gift during this past week’s Black Friday sales, don’t worry, there’s still plenty of time, and plenty of other gift ideas for the gadget lover on your shopping list! Here’s part 2 of my best tech gadgets to give this holiday season.

Not that long ago a 4K UHD TV would’ve cost you an arm and a leg, but as what happens with most electronics, the prices have come down considerably.
These are based on Black Friday sales, so the prices will probably be higher now, but you’ll have a pretty good idea for what you could pay for TVs like these.
Mobile phones have been on holiday gift lists for a very long time, especially since the dawn of the smart phone era, but what are the top models this year? See below!
Before you get intimidated by these prices, remember you’ll pay a lot less when your mobile carrier subsidizes the phones as part of a two year contract. Alternatives to buying one of these at full price could be paying off someones existing phone, or giving them a gift card to help offset the price they’ll pay for a new one. Either way, here’s the top 3 smartphones this year.
Check out some of the other top smartphones from this year in the below video.
Technically, Microsoft launched the first ever tablet back in the year 2000, but it didn’t catch on, until Apple released, the iPad a decade later! Ever since then it’s been a permanent resident under the Christmas tree!
Apple created a foothold in the tablet market before Android could even get their offerings off the ground, so let’s start with the iPad. The current lineup includes…
New iPad Pro – From $999
10.5 inch iPad Pro – From $799
9.7 inch iPad – From $429
iPad Mini 4 – From $529
Android did finally enter the tablet race, and just like with their phones, they have a much larger offering, with lots of different types and sizes. Here’s the top slates of 2018 running the Google operating system.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 (9.7 inch) – currently $599
Asus ZenPad 3S (9.7 inch) – currently $460
Lenovo Tab 4 (10.1 inch) – currently $299
Amazon Fire HD (8 inch) – currently $69.99
This is the perfect present for all the wannabe pilots out there, or amateur filmmakers that want a nice aerial shot in their next video!
A lot of the drones that were being sold a few years ago were under powered and ate through their batteries faster than you can say “look up!” These days they’re a lot more energy efficient with a lot more advanced features for a lot less money.
- Easy to fly
- Frame protects the large rotors in crashes, and the rotors are cheap (under $3 a set)
- 640 x 480-pixel video camera to take aerial footage
- “Return Home” feature that brings your drone back to you with the simple push of a button
Syma X5SW FPV Explorers2 – $85
- Equipped with HD camera to take photos and videos while flying
- Capable of 360-degree 3D rolling
- First person view using your iOS or Android device, cradled in controller
DJI Spark Palm Launch Drone – $499
- Shoot aerial photos using hand gestures
- 16 minutes of flying time
- Intelligent flight modes help create cinematic aerial videos with just a few taps
That’s it! Those are my recommendations for top holiday tech gifts of 2018. Just remember, it’s the thought that counts, but just in case you get the wrong thing, make sure to get a gift receipt!
