The Moon is closer to the Earth right now. Well, it’s still almost 358,000 km’s away, but it’s several thousand km’s closer to the Earth than it usually is. So when it’s full, that’s how we get a ‘super moon.’ It’s also known as a “cold moon” and if you missed it, don’t worry, it’ll be back just in time to ring in the New Year.
